Greetings from the ‘Peg

Overnight trip to Winnipeg last week to give a talk at the Graphic Design Open House at Red River College. Got to catch up with Ken Stampnick, one of the original Reactor artists (circa 1982) who’s been teaching at the College since he returned to Winnipeg over 20 years ago.

Revolution Series by James Turner

These are just a few prints that James Turner will be selling at TCAF this weekend.  The Toronto Comic Arts Festival is a unique comics event this weekend May 7th & 8th.   It is two full days of comics-related events, including readings, presentations, panel discussions, gallery shows, and a large exhibition area featuring publishers and comic authors and artists.  Drop by and visit with James Turner at his table.

Fundraising for Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund

ART FOR JAPAN

Japanese Canadian artists are holding a sale of art to support victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. All proceeds from the sale go to the JCCC Foundation/ Japan Earthquake Relief Fund. The sale will take place May 13 and 14 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in the Territories Room, 100 Front Street West. For further info, contact artforjapan@yahoo.ca
