The Folks at MDAO are organizing a launch party for the upcoming Fall Touched By Fire Art Show & Sale. The call for entry for this year’s exhibition will be out soon. The launch party is at the The Pilot Pub Monday evening, July 23, 2012 from 6 pm at 22 Cumberland Street, Toronto. Works by select Touched By Fire artists will be on display.
Touched By Fire is a non-profit program to celebrate, support, and inspire the work of artists living with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. An initiative of the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario, the project includes an inclusive on-line gallery and a juried annual show and exhibition, “the art show you have to be crazy to enter.”
Regularly bearded Steve Dunk, bares his chin to participate in Movember. He has also designed and printed a limited edition, letterpress poster to give to donors. Donate $10 or more to Steve or his team-members, Jordan and Brad, and you’ll get yourself one of these posters, before the end of November, while they last.
These are just a few prints that James Turner will be selling at TCAF this weekend. The Toronto Comic Arts Festival is a unique comics event this weekend May 7th & 8th.
