From 1993 to 2000 Tomio Nitto frequently created covers for ORORA Magazine, a Toronto Japanese community magazine. Here are four perfect for Toronto’s hot humid summer.
Fiona Smyth CHEEZ! Numbers 309 and 302
Fiona Smyth’s CHEEZ was originally a monthly drawing published in Canada’s Exclaim Magazine over a ten year period from 1992 to 2002. Fiona continues the work every week as part of Index G’s Monday ArtPost where Fiona publishes the new CHEEZ drawing with the same numbering sequence. A collection of the first one hundred strips is available as CHEEZ 100 published by Pedlar Press.

Milk Heroes by Clayton Hanmer
Clayton was commissioned by Canadian Living Magazine (thank you Samantha Edwards) to do these two Milk Heroes, for the May 2013 issue for advertising promoting Milk within the Magazine. Clayton incorporated photos of a glass of milk and a carton of milk with his illustration to create the Milk SuperHeroes.
