James Turner releases new young readers’ novel, Theo Paxstone and the Dragon of Adyron.

‘Theo Paxstone and the Dragon of Adyron,’ is a fast-paced fantasy adventure that brings together steampunk and medieval myths, pitting noble knights in steam powered battle machines against dragons. The feudal Kingdom of Adyron is mired in injustice, and even the heroes have something to hide.

The novel is available for purchase on Kindle from Amazon. Watch the trailer below:

Young Theo Paxstone aspires to a better life. A mechanic at a steam mech repair shop, he slaves away under the sharp eye of the ruthless Master Grimes, along with dozens of other orphan boys. The biggest and meanest of them, Grant, has in it for Theo and his best friend, Ollie, the shop’s parts-spotter cockatoo. The chatty bird helps keep Theo going, as every day is a struggle for survival.

My Petite Bourgeois Revolution opening tonight at Northern Contemporary

Don’t miss My Petite Bourgeois Revolution, opening tonight at Northern Contemporary 7-11pm!

A tongue-in-cheek Revolution for those suffering from first world problems, My Petite Bourgeois Revolution isn’t about starvation, cake eating and guillotines. It’s about the lack of WiFi, overpriced coffee and overloaded transit. It’s an urbane revolution for the comfortable bourgeois elite, the art student sophisticate, and the bored bohemian who can’t get cable.

My Petite Bourgeois Revolution at Northern Contemporary Gallery

A tongue-in-cheek Revolution for those suffering from first world problems, My Petite Bourgeois Revolution isn’t about starvation, cake eating and guillotines. It’s about the lack of WiFi, overpriced coffee and overloaded transit. It’s an urbane revolution for the comfortable bourgeois elite, the art student sophisticate, and the bored bohemian who can’t get cable.

Poking fun at the problems or examining the minutia of every day life while simultaneously revealing that we actually have it pretty good compared to a 1920’s Ukrainian Kulak, My Petite Bourgeois Revolution is a cutting, acerbic and fun exploration of our daily lives.

The show runs May 18th – June 5th at Northern Contemporary. Details here.
