Happy Thanksgiving to Our American Friends and Family!

For a number of years in the 1980’s Reactor was the agency of record for Bata Canada. On a regular basis we created in-store point of sale materials for the 500 or so Bata Shoe stores across Canada. These are two Thanksgiving posters art directed by Louis Fishauf and illustrated by Bill Russell and Paula Munck.

Jazz Portrait Folio by Bill Russell

This Jazz Portraits Folio of six jazz musician portraits by illustrator Bill Russell were created digitally on an Apple iPad Pro using the Procreate drawing app. Depicted in these prints are Brazilian instrumentalist Hermento Pascoal, cellist Zoe Keating, jazz pianist and composer Jason Moran, eclectic bandleader Sun Ra, jazz vocalist Gregory Porter and upright and electric bass player Esperanza Spalding. They were printed with archival pigment-based inks on Epson Velvet Fine Art acid-free paper and packaged in a limited edition of 12 at the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, California. Learn more here.
